The Song and Lyrics

I asked Paddy to send me over the lyrics for the song so I could take some creative control and look into which elements of the lyrics I show within the imagery of the animation.

After looking at these lyrics I have decided to make a couple of artistic decisions.

I really want to put some Shakespearean imagery in the video ad the lyric 'Something Wicked this way comes' is taken directly from a witch in the play Macbeth;

By the pricking of my thumbs,

Something wicked this way comes.

Open, locks,

Whoever knocks.

I think using the Rorschach to create images which could be perceived as some of the parts of the potion (such as a wolf's tooth, a liver, a knife, etc) could be really effective and it would add a second layer to the piece.

For the first chorus, I think it would be really nice to do a call and response between the two lovers.

As one says "I might not be there always" they could be facing their partner, and then have the other facing respond "I might not take up all your time".

For this part, I would also like the animation to fade out on the word 'always' and for the line "I might take up all your time" to fade in and out as its being said to make the point that the other doesn't have loads of time for what they say or do. For the line "Hey, no worries if I'm not on your mind" I'd like to the side profile to fade from nothing to finally have a complete image by the time its says 'mind'.

On the second "I might not be there always"  I have decided I will have the animation getting smaller, to make it look like he is distancing himself and physically not going to be there.
